Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie Mugen Train is the first film of the popular manga Kimetsu no Yaiba’ by Koyoharu Gotouge. There is no official premiere date but it is scheduled to be released in 2020. The movie is directed by Haruo Sotozaki, character designs are by Akira Matsushima, and production is handled by studio Ufotable. Plot The movie is a direct sequel to Season 1 of the Kimetsu no Yaiba anime. It covers the “Demon Train” Arc from the Manga Chapters 53 to 66. Tanjiro Kamada, Nezuko Kamado in her box, Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibara are sent on a mission to head to the Infinite Train, where more than 40 people have gone missing. It is reported that an Upper Twelve Moon Demon is involved. The group must join with one of the Pillars on site, Kyojiro Rengoku, to defeat the Demon. The group buys tickets to board the Infinity Train and begin searching for Kyojiro Rengoku, the current Flame Pillar. The group meets up with him and Rengoku informs them about his mission to kill the Demon responsible for multiple disappearances on the train. The group and Kyojiro fall asleep due to Enmu’s abilities. Enmu is the Lower Moon One and has the ability to enter, manipulate, and control someone’s dreams. Tanjiro uses the Breath of the Fire God to decapitate Enmu, though he is stabbed in the stomach by the train conductor in the process. The train stops and Rengoku guides Tanjiro to control his breathing to stop the bleeding. As Tanjiro heals himself, another Demon arrives in front of the two and attacks them. The Demon is another member of the Twelve Demon Moons, ranked as Upper Moon Three. The Demon introduces himself as Akaza and launches multiple attacks at Rengoku. Finding out that Rengoku is a Pillar, Akaza proposes that he should become a Demon to reach a newfound level of strength. Rengoku declines the proposal and tells him that he will never become a Demon. Akaza unleashes his Blood Demon Art Technique Deployment and attacks Rengoku. Rengoku must fight against Akaza by himself to protect everyone.
